ABOUT US

Many luxury home builders like to show off the glitz. The soaring foyer with the curved, wrought-iron staircase, the entertaining wine room and kitchen, the sprawling master bath and the awesome media room with full scale audio sound-system just to name a few.

DreamTech Homes features all the glitz, but much more--the inner beauty of our homes makes them unique. We welcome our guests into the attic or onto the roof.

One might say DreamTech belongs to a special breed. We are building a home that will be energy efficient and certified as "green" by a non-profit group that promotes sustainable housing. But being a pioneering green builder locally doesn't make our job any easier. We must distinguish the attributes of our luxury homes. That means talking about stuff that's not terribly sexy - R-values of insulation and U-values of windows; tankless water heaters which provide endless hot water without an ever-burning flame; a duct system that bleeds little heated or cooled air; and attics that are nearly livable areas.

A homeowner can expect to pay 30 to 60 percent less each month to heat and cool comparable size homes. DreamTech promises lower utility bills, better indoor air quality and less environmental impact compared to those homes which are not certified ENERGY STAR Homes.

DreamTech Homes is an ENERGY STAR PARTNER. This recognition offers more home, for less money than standard built homes. ENERGY STAR labeled homes use reliable and established technologies and building practices to operate 30% more efficiently than homes built to the Model Energy Code.

To achieve the benefits, ENERGY STAR stresses sealing the building envelope and duct system from air loss. A third-party rater tests each DreamTech Home to insure the home’s efficiency. These technologies and practices save the owners of ENERGY STAR labeled homes money on their utility bills, while also providing a home that's more comfortable, more durable, good for the environment, and cheaper to own. DreamTech Homes actually exceeds the minimum Energy Star requirements by adding extra energy-saving steps!

To be labeled as ENERGY STAR, homes must undergo a third party evaluation of DreamTech's homes. Only after the efficiency has been verified will the builder receive the Energy Star “label”. Upon receiving this written verification from a certified home energy rater, EPA will have the Energy Star label affixed to the home's breaker box to acknowledge the home has attained ENERGY STAR standards.

DreamTech understands that while a homeowner enjoys their outdoor views and the luscious sunlight drenching each room, they cringe at costly cooling bills. For this reason, DreamTech Homes provides double paned, insulated windows as apart of our standard package. The uses of high-efficiency windows are three to four times more efficient than windows commonly installed 10 years ago. In addition, it can help to muffle some sounds for a quieter environment. DreamTech Homes is proud to include 14-Seer Air Conditioning Units, which work to cool your home efficiently even on the hottest of summer days. Superior craftsmanship and quality materials ensure years of dependable and economical operation.

We apply foam insulation around windows and doors. In addition, we caulk around the electrical outlets and boxes. The air infiltration is almost zero. The foam also stops moisture from seeping in, which in turn can help prevent mold growth.

American homes, on average, lose 28 to 47 percent of the home's heated and cooled air through leaks in the duct work. The ducts in a DreamTech home lost 1.2 percent to 3.2 percent of the conditioned air during recent tests.

We use energy-efficient insulation and windows. The walls of have foam insulation rated with an R-21 value while the ceiling insulation will have an R-30 value. Many builders use fiberglass insulation with a value of R-13. While our insulation costs more, it has allowed us to reduce the size of heating and cooling system and save money.

We also provide energy-efficient appliances. Tankless hot- water heaters, dishwashers and A/C units are labeled as ENERGY STAR products. These appliances meet energy and environmental standards and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

We don't force your air conditioner to overwork itself due to a super-heated attic space. DreamTech Homes uses FOILED-COVERED panels in the roof, in addition to the roof decking. These foil-covered panels repel the sun's rays and reduce attic temperatures as much as 30 degrees.

In addition to the use of FOILED-COVERED ROOF DECKING, we also use TechShield, a double-sided, foil sheathing, on the remaining exterior walls of the home. This is certainly not your basic blue board Styrofoam sheathing. This product deploys heat away from your home, helping to reduce energy bills. (lpcorp.com)

In the years to come, more and more buyers will demand green-built homes. DreamTech does not want to build a product that's going to be obsolete within five years.
